Miley's Roots...

It's a refreshing maneuver on her part. Like I've stated before she had her party time, it was also refreshing, just on a different wave link! Which I greatly appreciated, I like the realness of it. I cant help myself. Disney has a way of driving inner workings out of their female stars. Just an observation of course. Malibu is a love story, and a perfectly pictured one. That dirty rasp of hers is effervescent, crispy and deep with meaning. The lyrics take you on a scenic journey, and the drums and guitar guide it along in slow and fast sweeps.  It is of course about her long time partner Chris Hemsworth, who is also greatly appreciated for just existing.  Miley of course loves him beyond what we all see in the movies and in pictures. They had a rocky start, but made it through foam fingers and drag queens. In my opinion their relationship was meant to be, clearly its her he loves. This song definitely shows her feelings and it just makes you smile. You cant help but have som...

Deep in Halsey...

"Eyes Closed" is her new single. She dives deep into a woman's psyche, into a relationship we can all commiserate with. Losing one but gaining another without the release of closure. It's a sad tale to be told, but Halsey makes it ethereal and understanding. "I know what to say It's all the same And I, I know how to play I know this game It's all the same"    Reminding us still that love is played as if it was a game of sport, and not being the least bit sorry about it. Halsey has not been one to mince lyrics, she is up front and honest, and her sweet vocals compliment everything into a mixing pot of raw real music the way it should be!  "But you've been replaced I'm face to face with someone new" is something we can all relate to. We as unnaturally monogamous humans, need a push from time to time into the reality of love and its language. There are short and long love stories, and in my opinion music helps guide...

Mad Music

Remember when? Is often a highly open question. Remember when things used to be...? brings you to a far off place that no longer exists but in your mind. These questions need to be asked about music! Remember when music was good? Remember when Music used to mean something? Both viable questions these days. In my opinion which is so often revered, is that we have a couple handfuls of singers with a passion for singing. The music to them is what matters, what they put out is often gone over and over, Because they want us as listeners to feel what they felt writing it and singing it. That's what I miss from many artists. Remember Jagged Little Pill and Pieces of You from the nineties? Front to Back side to side perfectly written albums by who now are two iconic female artists. Nirvana, Aerosmith, Tom Petty, even Marilyn Manson's music meant something! Today we have H-Monies and Wacka Jokas ft Sexy Sonja and Tina Twerker. I'm not saying Rap and R&B isn't music, it is,...

Miley Miss. Understood?

Miley hasn’t always been the most ladylike of female artists the last couple of years. After the Hannah Montana persona slipped away into the Disney vaults, so did most of her inhibitions and clothing for that matter. I’ve never faulted a female artist for showing skin. If that is how she feels at her inner best then by all means flaunt the love you have for yourself! Same goes to men. If you don’t want your young daughter or son to see the artistic integrities of Miss Cyrus then DON’T LET THEM. As the parent of a daughter, all I ask from the Artists is that whatever they are doing it better be for a reason, purpose, or theatrical measure. My 4 year old loves Lady Gaga and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Miley has been posting many teases to her upcoming May 11th Album, saying it is yet again a new venture, she simply grew up from the girl known for that side tongue and cheek pose. “so many of those fucking disgusting photographers would tell me to blow a kiss, and that’s not me! ...
